As a native of our great “Minnie-apple” Dana Clark has been a strong supporter of our local entertainment community. One can always find Dana moving and shaking down a new avenue, whether it’s volunteering for a local organization like the Twin Cities Black Film Festival or hosting an Hourglass wine tasting event like Taste, overall she enjoys the social interface. Recently, Dana became a co-founding partner of The Hourglass Collective, a successful local event planning collaboration of dynamic divas. Be on the lookout for Dana has she continues to partner and hosts several upcoming events.
Due part to her true passion, Dana is also internationally certified as a Wine Expert and is currently the process of developing her Wine Consultant business (D-Vine Wine). As of lately, Dana has aligned her expertise with OYA Wines, LLC (Greg Anew Owner), the only African American owned wine label in the Midwest, and too, one of the very few nationwide. Keep your eye out for local wine events in which Dana & OYA Wines will collaborate in introducing these wines to both the local and national communities.
Dana’s ongoing quest to create the prefect signature cocktail motivated her to complete her Mixologist certification and use her expertise in contract bartending. Those who have had the pleasure to be in her company to experience her various creations (The Purple Rain Martini, Spicy Sangria or her famous Rum Punch) can attest to a good time. So the next time you see Dana behind the bar, ask her to make something special for you!
